Hi! I’m Elizabeth Eldridge. I grew up in Beaver Harbour, New Brunswick, and now live in nearby St. George, about 20 km from Salty Maiden. After living away for university and an internship, I eagerly returned home to the region I love so much in 2008. This corner of New Brunswick has always held my heart, and I believe it’s an overlooked gem. Bringing Salty Maiden to life has given me the opportunity to share the beauty and spirit of the place I call home with visitors from near and far.
In 2021, I stumbled upon a little slice of heaven on the shores of Passamaquoddy Bay and knew I had found something special. With no prior construction experience but a clear vision (and the steady guidance of my dad, a carpenter), I rolled up my sleeves and dove headfirst into transforming the property into what would become Salty Maiden.

Long days and late nights quickly became the norm, and tackling construction during the pandemic (when supply chain shortages made even basic materials hard to come by) was like being tossed straight into the deep end of the pool. It's been a true crash course in building, marketing and hospitality, all while I balanced my work as a corporate consultant and professional speaker seeing clients across the country.

When construction wrapped and I welcomed my first guests, it was incredibly rewarding to see them experience the space exactly as I had envisioned: relaxing, connecting and making memories. The guest experience is my top priority, and it goes beyond the amenities offered on the property. Guests can take comfort in knowing I’m here for whatever they need, whether it’s a local dining recommendation, a helping hand to get their beach bonfire started, or simply the reassurance that someone who cares is close by. I’m always more than happy to go the extra mile to make sure every stay is nothing short of perfect.

As a detail-oriented entrepreneur, I've poured my heart into ensuring every corner of Salty Maiden feels luxurious and welcoming. I have personally pored over every last feature; no detail has been overlooked. Today, Salty Maiden has proudly welcomed guests for four fully booked seasons, earning 100% 5-star reviews — proof that the magic of this place is felt as much by our guests as it is by me.
